At Ellis Jones, I developed a comprehensive marketing strategy for The City of Sydney Creative Studios (CoSCS), a vibrant hub managed by Brand X, dedicated to fostering the arts and creative industries in Sydney. Nestled in the city’s heart, CoSCS offers a variety of flexible, purpose-built spaces tailored to the needs of artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners. These studios are designed to support a wide range of activities, from visual and performing arts to music and media production.
Despite Sydney's wealth of creative talent, CoSCS has struggled to effectively reach and engage these potential users. The December 2022 Financial Reports highlighted this challenge, revealing that occupancy rates for hireable spaces fell 50% below targets.
The campaign strategy created resonant key messages aimed at the identified audiences, utilising relevant communication channels to elevate awareness of CoSCS and enhance short-term hire acquisitions. By leveraging CoSCS’s strengths — its vibrant, exceptionally equipped spaces, prime CBD location, and role as a lively, connected creative community — we aim to position CoSCS as the preferred workspace for Sydney's creatives, from emerging talent to industry leaders.
